Pros: I eat sushi all over the world usually 1 or 2 times a week...I'm an international flight attendant. The only reason I picked this place was because I needed to find a sushi restaurant in a certain area near where my friend worked. I ,as you are, was doing a web search and going by others recomendations. First of all this is in a strip mall. No fancy dining room or pretentious decor. Although nicely decorated. But you are going here to eat great sushi right? I was going through the menu to order my regular catipillar roll, rainbow roll and whatever the chef recommended. Well The chef came over with the waitress and suggested 3 of their most popular rolls.
Sushi vampire- (shrimp tempura, crab, cucumber, avocado topped w/ baked spicy lobster tail, eel sauce and green onion) spicy but delicious.
Confidential- Panko shrimp tempura, cucumber topped w/tuna, salmon, ebi, avocado, spicy crab, tobiko eel sauce. Huge!
Then my fav.
Grand Canyon- Panko shrimp tempura, tuna, avocado, topped w/ baked spicy scallop with garlic, tobiko and eel sauce,
I can not say how great the rest of the menu is but I can not wait to try the sashimi and discover the other items.
My only complaint, which is not really their fault, is that all the clientelle wanted to talk to the chef and the waitresses, that the service was a little slower than normal at first. But at the end, come to find out, they are just very friendly. Even the customers leaving came over to our table to tell us that we were about to have a party in our mouth......(insert joke here). It was delicious no doubt and I can't wait to take my brother (who is a sushi chef @ a big downtown resto) here to get some ideas.
I never write revews but i think that if it wasn't for the others who have written before I might have not found such a gem. So here is my input.
Enjoy Cons: small selection of beer. a little wait....not too much though.

Pros: Fresh fish! You don't get that "fishy taste" when you eat their sashimi (means it is fresh). The chef is creative and an artist in his own right; making every dish an enjoyable and exciting event. I would rank this sushi bar in the top 3 of SLC! Cons: If you come during the busy times you may have to wait a while to get your meal.... it's well worth the wait!

Pros: I have been going to Sushi In Joy since it opened and I have not wanted to go to any other sushi place since. The employees are friendly and the sushi is out of this world. I've referred many people there and all have had the same experiance. Cons: Sometimes it takes time to get your sushi but it is always worth the wait or maybe I'm just so excited that I can't wait.

Pros: When I walk into Sushi-In-Joy, my goal is to try something new. And after 6 months of frequent (and I mean frequent) trips to the sushi bar, my goal is still not complete. The selection available at Sushi-In-Joy is seemingly endless. Each new selection is a new combination of taste, texture, and flavor. Mr. Young, the owner, and Mr. Ming, the more than capable assistant, have been more than happy to make any sashimi and sushi roll to order. But the menu will probably already have anything you could want.
Sit at the bar, watch and enjoy the view. Mr. Young and Mr. Ming are masters of service and presentation. The recommendations are as follows:
King Prawn appetizer
The Funky Vegas
The Montok
The Rainbow
The Funky J
Spicy Yellowtail
Sushi-In-Joy offers many cooked and vegan dishes. The teriyaki beef and tempura vegetables are excellent. Tonight, for the first time, I tried the seaweed salad. All I can say is, if you don’t try it, yer stoopid.
Cons: My stomach is not big enough!

Pros: Excellent sushi, the fish is very fresh, and the rolls are creative. The Prawn King appetizer and the In Joy roll should not be missed. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall, this is a great new addition to the Utah Sushi community Cons: Ribs are nothing special.

Pros: This is a great Sushi place. They have a great selection of rolls and sushi. They also have plenty of other things to eat for those who are not sushi fans. The service was great and the sushi was really good. Cons: None really come to mind other than we got sat right by the radio.
